The big man has been and gone...

...and thats another Xmas over with. All that planning and prep last for a few hours then you just sit round watching repeats on TV and stuffing your face with chocolate and turkey buttys.
I had a lovely time though. All my family including my Grandma from Ireland were here and i got to play with my little Jess lots and lots :-)

Fave part of Xmas Day HAS to be the cracker joke. This year was outstanding:
What do you call a chicken in a shell suit? An Egg.
Hahahahaha!!!! I think i was the only person that laughed.

Xmas does do one thing that lasts though. You find out who really cares for you. You have all your family making a fuss with lots of hugs and cuddles, reunited with old friends...but despite being busy, and the time old phrase 'out of sight, out of mind' the friends that you are apart from send you a little message to let you know they're thinking of you.
Its the ones that you expect a message from, that dont actually contact you all Xmas & NY that you realise really are a waste of space...(and i am referring to a particular individual, but i knew that all along anyway)!

Who killed Archie?!

It could be anyone really couldnt it...but i want to know where that little geek was at the time of death...Ben Mitchell. It was him!
Im glad that dirty old man is out of it though. He made my skin crrrrrawl. Ergh, as if he was sleeping with Janine, raped Stacey and was giving Peggy one too. SICK! As if he is capable...i mean, his face has transformed into a ballbag with eyebrows - imagine what his ballbags has transformed into. Shrivelled grapes maybe?
Either way, this story is bound to go on for a while and drag on and on. However, we're meant to find out in Feb.

Oh and in Corrie world....poor Sally.

At the minute, the family are completely obsessed with Twilight. When i say the family, im referring to Mother, sister and I. Mum is probably the worst though. She has managed to read all 4 books in a matter of weeks. Its AMAZING. The story and the characters are so addictive. Im starting Eclipse tonight...how exciting!

So this weird week before Xmas and New Year is almost over. Working New Years Eve again, not a bad thing as NYE is probably the most overrated night of the year. Overpriced, and when you do find somewhere to go you have to worry about getting home as the buses don't run and the taxis are triple. Roll on 2nd January when everything is back to normal...

Well i best be off.

A week until Christmas...

As if it is Xmas next week...i cant quite believe it!

I finally have the tree up in the house. Going to have a little hunt for some candy canes this afternoon to put on it, but its fairy lights galore in the living room, yayers. Not really gone overboard on the Xmas shopping, purely for the fact im skint...and rather lazy - just a few more things to get and a bit of wrapping to do then all done and dusted.

My beautiful Godson was born last month. His name is Jude. We haven't met yet as he's all the way down in London, but fingers crossed i will get there one day next week for the afternoon and get to spend a few hours with him before coming back up to Manchester. Work is really busy at the moment which is really good, so its hard to fit in the little extra bits that i used to be able to do when i had a boring office job.

Its only Tuesday but we are all counting down the minutes until Saturday. Spending the afternoon getting ready along with lots well deserved pampering with the Meow, then lots of pre-drinkys with the girlys then LOTS of dancing at the Council Pop night ant Night & Day where our friends are playing and DJing. Tiz all very exciting! Im looking forward to wearing the dress which i have annoyingly been going on about for weeks and weeks!
Luckily my wonderful Auntie bought it for me on her magic credit card from the ASOS website, it came yesterday. I was worried it wouldnt fit but it turns out its a bit too big, but there is no time to change it now and it will be fine...
Its my 1st Saturday night off in aaages and i'm looking forward to seeing everyone plus its my last night out in Manchester with my friends until 2010! Unfortunately, when i REALLY look forward to a particular night, someone seems to ruin it for me. It best not happen this time or there will be hell.

I hope the Strangerways DJ's play this on Saturday:
What a classing piece on song-manship! Wonderful.

Miss Whorlow and myself are still mulling over venues for our bday party. Exactly a month to go so we best get our skates on!!! The last year of my early 20's and Kates last year of her late 20's - oh my. DJ's sorted, my friend is baking cakes, a couple of people are going to play some live music, but its just the darn venue!

I suppose I best get back to work. We have the wonderful Futureheads playing on Friday, so spreading the word to the masses.

I also need to fit in time to tan and sort my hair out. I look like an anemic albino version of Darth Vader at the moment!
